AeroLogic ALFA Ab-Initio – Level 3
Level 3 is the final AeroLogic ALFA Ab-Initio selection stage and takes place in Berlin. Candidates complete a small group exercise and interview. A four-person committee makes the decision; every member must agree for a pass, so one dissenting vote means failure. The overall assessment pass rate is approximately 15–18%. After successfully completing the training programme, no further assessment is required before employment; although no job offer is guaranteed, placement is reported as nearly 100%. AeroLogic provides the type rating free of charge in exchange for a three-year flying commitment. After an unsuccessful test, candidates must wait three years before reapplying.

AeroLogic ALFA Ab-Initio – Level 1 is the first stage of the ab-initio pilot selection process. The on-site Berlin screening may include varied tests, with preparation informed by extensive AeroLogic candidate feedback.
Stage 2 of 3
Stage 2 of AeroLogic’s ALFA ab-initio selection is held at TFC Käufer in Essen and includes a Piper PA-44 simulator flight. Applicants test in pairs; tasks can vary, and unsuccessful candidates must wait three years before reapplying.
Stage 3 of 3
AeroLogic ALFA Ab-Initio Level 3 is the final selection stage in Berlin, combining a small group exercise and interview. Prepare for a demanding committee decision, then move towards AeroLogic’s cadet training and an airline career.
