Luxair Pilot Cadet Program (Ab-Initio) – Stage 2: DLR FQ
Luxair uses the DLR FQ (Firmenqualifikation, or Company Qualification) as Stage 2 of its ab-initio pilot selection. Conducted in English, this on-site psychological assessment normally follows the DLR BU and typically takes place over two days at the DLR in Hamburg, Germany. Exact elements are set by the airline and may include a structured interview, a group task or discussion, the bridge-loading test (DCT), and a simulator exercise. Easyflight Training offers guidance for the psychological assessment, a pilot personality test, Technical Interview Questions (Cadet Pilot), and the DLR FQ/FU/GQ Psychological Preparation Package. The latter does not include DCT or simulator CBT.
Stage 1 of Luxair’s ab-initio Pilot Cadet Program is the English-language DLR BU in Hamburg. Candidates complete aptitude tests covering cognitive, psychomotor and aviation-relevant skills before progressing in the selection process.
Luxair uses the DLR FQ as Stage 2 of its ab-initio pilot selection. This English-language, on-site psychological assessment evaluates motivation, self-presentation, communication and teamwork in an interview and group-exercise setting.
