Airline Assessment
Luxair Pilot Cadet Program (Ab-Initio) – Stage 1: DLR BU
Luxair uses the DLR BU as Stage 1 of its ab-initio Pilot Cadet Program. Conducted in English at DLR in Hamburg, the assessment evaluates aptitude through computer-based tasks relevant to pilot selection, including concentration, memory, spatial reasoning, mental arithmetic, technical and physics understanding, English, and coordination. Luxair screens applications before inviting candidates, so an invitation is not automatic. Use Easyflight Training’s application preparation service before applying, then prepare systematically with the Luxair DLR bundle and individual CBT modules. Successful candidates may progress to the next selection stage.
Stage 1 of Luxair’s ab-initio Pilot Cadet Program is the English-language DLR BU in Hamburg. Candidates complete aptitude tests covering cognitive, psychomotor and aviation-relevant skills before progressing in the selection process.
Luxair uses the DLR FQ as Stage 2 of its ab-initio pilot selection. This English-language, on-site psychological assessment evaluates motivation, self-presentation, communication and teamwork in an interview and group-exercise setting.
