Austrian Future Pilots Program – Stage 4 (Optional)
Stage 4 is an optional step in the ab-initio pilot selection process and is relevant only for candidates who choose to apply to the Austrian Future Pilots Program. The final selection is a two-day DLR FQ in Vienna, described as a reduced classic DLR FQ. It includes a group exercise, interview and bridge loading test (DCT). Austrian Airlines covers flight costs when travelling on Austrian Airlines flights. Candidates who successfully complete this step move on to flight training at the European Flight Academy (EFA). Easyflight Training preparation covers interview, group exercise, discussion and reflection; DCT preparation is not yet included in the package.
Stage 1 of 4
DLR Certificate Cockpit is the on-site stage 1 screening for EFA and Lufthansa Group ab-initio pilot candidates. It takes place in Hamburg, Milan or Zurich, in German or English, with online preparation for key cognitive test areas.
Stage 2 of 4
The LHG Assessment is stage 2 of the ab-initio pilot selection process used by European Flight Academy and Austrian Airlines, held on site in Hamburg or Zurich with psychological and location-specific psychomotor tests.
Stage 3 of 4
Prepare for the optional Austrian Future Pilots Program Stage 3 PIT screening in Vienna. Austrian Airlines assesses coordination, multitasking and further simulator skills, while covering flight costs on Austrian Airlines flights.
Stage 4 of 4
Optional Stage 4 for Austrian Future Pilots applicants is a two-day DLR FQ in Vienna. Successful candidates continue to flight training at the European Flight Academy; Austrian Airlines covers flight costs on Austrian Airlines flights.

The exclusive 3-hour interview coaching
