DLR Certificate Cockpit is stage 1 of ab-initio pilot selection for European Flight Academy and Lufthansa Group pathways. Held in Milan, Hamburg and Zurich in German or English, it assesses key aptitude areas for aspiring pilots.

The LHG Assessment is stage 2 of ab-initio pilot selection for European Flight Academy and Austrian Airlines. It is held in Hamburg or Zurich and combines psychological exercises with location-specific psychomotor tests.

Stage 3 is an optional on-site PIT simulator screening in Vienna for applicants to the Austrian Future Pilots Program. Austrian Airlines assesses coordination, multitasking and further pilot competencies; flight costs are covered on Austrian Airlines flights.

Stage 4 is the optional final selection for Austrian Future Pilots Program applicants: a two-day DLR FQ in Vienna with group exercise, DCT bridge-loading test and interview. Austrian Airlines covers flight costs on Austrian Airlines flights.

DLR Test for Ready Entry is the first selection stage for experienced pilots at airlines including Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa City Airlines and Platoon Aviation. It evaluates key cognitive, technical and knowledge-related skills.
