Airline Assessment
DLR Test: ADAC Air Rescue
ADAC Air Rescue uses the DLR Test as the first stage of its ab-initio pilot selection process for prospective helicopter pilots. This computer-based aptitude screening evaluates capabilities relevant to pilot training. Depending on the test battery, relevant preparation areas include concentration, visual and auditory memory, mental arithmetic, spatial reasoning, visual perception, multitasking, coordination, English, physics and technical comprehension. Candidates who meet the required standard may be invited to subsequent ADAC Air Rescue selection stages. Effective preparation prioritises familiarity with task formats, accuracy under time pressure and repeatable performance.
ADAC Air Rescue uses the DLR Test as stage 1 of its ab-initio helicopter-pilot selection. Candidates complete computer-based aptitude tasks that assess cognitive, perceptual and coordination skills before progressing in the process.
