The Symbol-Number Pairs test by Easyflight Training is designed to train associative memory, working memory and recall accuracy, skills commonly assessed in airline and professional aptitude tests.
At the beginning of each task, you are shown repeated number–symbol pairings in the format:
number | symbol
After several learning cycles, the test switches to recall mode. You must then assign the correct number to a symbol, or the correct symbol to a number, without the reference pairs being visible.
This format requires you to build, store and retrieve associations under time pressure, closely reflecting real assessment conditions where information must be memorised quickly and applied accurately.
By alternating between learning and recall phases, the test develops efficient memorisation strategies, attention control and mental flexibility – making it a valuable addition to any structured assessment preparation.
