The Cube Rotation Test (ROT) at DLR
The ROT test is one of numerous tests in DLR’s portfolio to test the capacity of your spatial imagination. The test involves imaginatively tilting a cube from a specific starting position several times in succession in predetermined directions. The instructions are given via voice output. The final position of a specific initial side of the cube must then be indicated.
Successfully practicing ROT with Easyflight Training
The Cube Rotation Test (ROT) from Easyflight Training includes both the actual test and an accompanying document with visual tips for further support.
Our implementation is particularly characterized by dynamically generated sequences of cube rotations, so that a real and lasting learning effect (and not a memorization effect) occurs. Practice (unlike the DLR CBT) at speed levels you set yourself. The following setting options are available:
- Difficulty: easy, standard, hard, expert
- Visual support (on, off)
- Language: German, English
- Number of tasks (individually adjustable)
- Reveal solution (on, off)

Everything – it would be awesome if the user surface would also look like the DLR-Assessment e.g. Mathematical Arithmetic – there is only the Calculator Surface which would be perfect for a Ipad use under the same circumstances. Thank you!

Better preparation than the CBT-ROT, because you can adjust the difficulty and number of tasks. This gives the opportunity to directly train on the desired difficulties which is not possible in the CBT if you want to practice only on hard mode. You can also adjust if you want instant feedback after every round and get detailed statistics about the progress.
